Western Railway observes 76th Constitution Day

On 26th November, 2025, the 76th Constitution Day of our nation was observed with great enthusiasm over Western Railway. The day commemorates the auspicious occasion when the Constitution of India was adopted on 26th November, 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. Vivek Kumar Gupta – General Manager of Western Railway administered the Preamble to railway officers and staff at WR HQs office, Churchgate. According to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, General Manager Gupta administered the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India at the Headquarters Office. The event was attended by Additional General Manager, Principal Head of all Departments, Senior Railway Officers and staff. At the Divisional level, the respective DRMs led the administration of the Preamble to the staff and officers. An essay competition for the wards of hospital staff was organized in Jagjivan Ram Hospital, Mumbai Central. Additionally, the Railway Secondary School, Valsad conducted a debate/quiz and essay competition as part of the observance.
